Benefits of Working at Home

Every year, the number of people who work from home increases, and it's becoming a trend. But, what is the reason why people prefer working from their home?

I myself works at home, and I am enjoying the life that I have right now. Same as the people I know and other digital nomads who are enjoying their life as a non-office workers.

So, as a home-base worker, I'd like to share how beneficial it is to work from home for your business, personal, and family. And it could help you decide what career you would like to pursue, whether it's office work or home base work.

First, let's put it on business perspective.

Cost efficient

There are certain operating costs and personal costs that you can eliminate or decrease when you start working at home. Two of them are food allowance and transportation expense.

Typical office workers who travel everyday from their houses to their office in the city or miles away from their houses, spend quite a bit of money every day and most of them doesn't realize that they are spending big amount of money, annually. And sometimes, when they have to meet clients or co-workers out of the office premise, then that travel cost adds up.

However, travel expense can be eliminated or decrease when you work from your home. And if you are unaware of your travel cost, you can check it at travel cost calculator.

Time efficient

Office work few miles away from your home might be a daily struggle for you or so many people everyday, especially during rush hours in the morning as people go to offices at the same time and in the afternoon when many people finish their work and head to their own houses.

During those rush hours, being stack in road due to heavy traffic can cause you wasted hours. If so, tally all those travel time into 365 days, which gives you a hilarious several hours that you spent the whole year traveling. You can also calculate it through, travel time calculator.

Other than long travel time, preparing to go to office is also a huge time of loss you are incurring and taking away from your work, everyday and every year.

Second, benefits of working from home to personal life.

Empowerment

When you think to yourself that you would be a better person when you are a boss, but for some this might be a struggle, especially working at home where no one supervises you.

Self-discipline and dedication to your work are the main key factors on how you can manage working at home for long term period. Working at home is also good for anyone who desire a home-base job to improve self-supervision and being independent.

Fulfillment

Achievements for many people, especially when done the proper way is really a big self-fulfillment. And a good formula that a person can develop as a home-base worker is;
great discipline + hard work  = self satisfaction and net worth

Being a boss

Aside from having a home-based company that will give you the title of being the 'boss', being a plane virtual employee can also give you that opportunity to be the boss in your time and activities.

Working at home allows you to manage your time when to work or to have a break, and allows you to manage your work load and other extra curricular activities according to your skills and abilities.

Ability to have a healthy lifestyle

Having the opportunity to tweak your time and activities can give you chance to have a healthy lifestyle by working out at the gym, join a kickboxing program in town, and running at the park, as your exercise. Also, it allows you to give time to shop fresh food at the supermarket and cook it on your own kitchen.

 Extra curricular activities

Having a good time and activity management can also give you benefits to do other things like being involved into sports, networking to other people in a cafe or restaurant, do some arts and crafts, attending your favorite hobbies, make some DIY projects and many more.

 Lastly, quality time with family

Family is the most important people anyone could ever have. During this time, people who work so hard at the office have different negative effects to their own families.

However, people who have a home-based job can spend more valued time and better bonding with their families, especially kids.

Other people can spend time with their partners or whole family to travel from few different places for holidays or celebrations, without worrying too much with their work that they can conveniently do, with the of help of internet and computer.

So, I hope this will help people who are thinking whether to find a job that is home-based or work in to office, and also to help those people who are planning to have their own business whether at home or rent an office space in the city.
